First off, I just want to say that although I use and live by my editorial calendar, it seems that I messed up my schedule for this week. I had today written down as the day to announce the giveaway winners, but the blogiversary giveaways don't end until Saturday -- whoops!

A few weeks ago, I started up my Current Crush link-up series and explained my new found love for stationery. I shared some pictures of some gorgeous stationery that I was absolutely crushing on. Well, I finally got my hands on some and just had to share it with you all!

My stationery of choice comes from the lovely Etsy shop, Brown Paper Goods. The shop owner's name is Sarah and she was an absolute delight to work with. The packaging was so cute and put together. I just couldn't help but take lots of pictures.


I also wanted to share with you the note that Sarah included with my stationery. I love it when shops throw in a handwritten note and thank you for your business. It's such a personal touch that makes a huge difference.



I knew I wanted my stationery to tie into the new blog design so I went with the chevron flat note cards. You can have a name included on your stationery, but I opted not to since I couldn't decide between getting my name or Framed Frosting. I wasn't sure if I'd be using it more for personal use or for the blog, so I just decided to leave it blank!



Aren't these cards absolutely gorgeous? I can't wait to start using them. I might have to find some more excuses to write fancy notes.

Around this time last year, I was just starting up my blog. I used it as a way to document the end of my senior year and was going to continue to use it as I began college in the fall. Little did I know that I would end up falling in love with blogging and be where I am here today.

Welcome to the new and improved Framed Frosting!

I told you all that I was in the progress of a blog re-design and I'm happy to say it's complete! What do you all think of the new look? I absolutely LOVE it. Michele from SavvyCitrus did an amazing job and I'm soooo happy with the way things turned out! I told her I wanted to go for something simple, but with a pop of color. And of course, I wanted to stick with my chevron background but more subtle.

Speaking of chevron...it's my Current Crush this week! I have always been in love with this print but this week I've seen more chevron on Pinterest and Etsy than ever before. From wall decals to iPad sleeves, this collection has it all!

Tall boots, paired with a simple tee, black leggins, a belt and a blazer is one of my favorite looks right now. This can easily be transformed into a chic summer outfit if you sub shorts for the leggings.

Want to be comfortable all day and still look put together? Pair some leggings, boots and a cardigan with an oversized scarf for a wearable, comfortable style.

Or pair those leggings with a funky sweater and a long tank. I even wore this look to church!

Tuck those pantalones into your boots and head out the door! I find this style works best with skinny jeans, of course, but if you have boot cut jeans, don't worry about the tuck-in. Boots with boot-cut jeans make legs look so long and slender, with a bit of edgy style.

I love this look! Pair a funky skirt, some tights, big socks and boots together and you'll look like you walked right out of a Forever21 catalog.

Or, skip the funky skirt and add a bright scarf. You'll bring those boots to life!

I'm confident that boots work with any dress. Whether it 's a maxi or a mini, boots add jazz to any dress in summer or winter.

If you're really wanting to be comfortable around the house, pair a big, oversized sweater with some leggings and Uggs and you'll be cozy and warm all day long.

No Uggs with shorts. No Uggs with skirts. No duck face. Enough said.

Last week, I received my first Good & Lovely box.
I couldn't be more thrilled with the items I received and wanted to share them with you all!

This week for me I've been obsessed with stationery. This day in age, you don't find too many people writing letters or cards, unless they're wedding invitations. I will admit, I don't use stationery much either but that's because I don't have any. However, if I owned any stationery as gorgeous as the ones below, I would find excuses to write letters every single day!
