I love opening this box every month and knowing that I'm going to have some new samples to try out. I was even more excited when I saw that one of the products I've been wanting to try for awhile now was included in my box. Score!
This month's theme was Prep and Finish. All the products were about completing your make-up routine from start to finish. I really love this idea. I have always enjoyed my weekends because I have enough time to go through my entire skincare and make-up routine, rather than just applying shadow and mascara and heading out the door.
Full Price: $30 for 3.4 fl. oz.
My Sample Price: $6 for 0.68 fl. oz
...I haven't used this product yet for mainly one reason. As you all know from my previous posts, I am very dedicated to my Clinique 3-step skincare routine. I don't tend to try new cleansers because the one I use works great. I'm kinda hoping Birchbox starts sending out more make-up related things and less skincare products.
2/ Befine Lip Serum
3/ Laura Geller Spackle Tinted
Under Makeup Primer (in bronze)

...I haven't used this product yet but I'm planning on it this weekend. I was a little scared at first when I saw how dark this primer is. But according to my Birchbox card "It works on all skin tones - we tested it." I'm assuming that once it is smoothed onto your skin as a thin layer, it would be similar to a tinted moisturizer + foundation primer.
4/ Orofluido Beauty Elixir
My Sample Price: $6 for 0.68 fl. oz

Full Price: $25 for lip serum/exfoliator duo
My Sample Price: unknown - my tube is 10mL (full size is 15mL)
...I absolutely love this! I was kinda thinking I would since Befine is one of my favorite newly-discovered brands. I use their night cream daily and was planning on purchasing the lip duo through their site. I was so excited to see that it was in my Birchbox this month. This serum is amazing. It's so smooth and has quite a shine to it so it could be replacing my lip gloss. I also really love the slight pomegranate flavor/smell. I purchased the lip duo through Birchbox tonight so I can have the lip exfoliator too. I can't wait to get it in the mail!

...I was very confused when I saw this in my box. My first thought was massage oil but that didn't make much sense. I reached for my Birchbox card and it read "We don't know what we love more - this hair treatment's trio of noursihing essential oils (argan, linseed, cyperus) or its intoxicating vanilla amber scent." Vanilla scent was definitely spot on but I was still a little confused on how much to use so I headed on over to Birchbox's website. Thank goodness for resources. Their site says "Take three to four drops between the palms of your hands and distribute evenly through damp hair. Style as usual. You can also work a couple drops through dry ends or use a tiny amount to calm flyaways." Finally, some clarity. I am really excited to use this. My hair is quite thick and is always flying away during the winter months due to static. I'm hoping this can calm it down a little. Can't wait to try it!
EXTRA/The Laundress Delicate Wash
My Sample Price: $1.50 for 0.17 fl. oz

...I have not used this product yet and not sure if I'll get a chance to for two reasons. a) My mom is a sweet lady and does my laundry when I come for the weekend and b) I'm not sure if I own anything that counts as "delicates". I guess my bras and panties would count towards that category but my mom never washes them separately. I also only own one silk top. So this product might be a bust for me, but I'll give it to my momma and see what she thinks if she ever uses it.

Those were the products I received this month. I am really happy about this box. Although the cleanser and laundry wash aren't for me (anyone want to trade?), I'm really excited about the other three products! Especially that lip serum.
And just like every other month, the samples equal more than the $10 you pay for the box. Gotta love that! What did you guys get in your box? Also, read below on how I scored THREE items from Birchbox for under $30!
Awesome Side Note:
Like I mentioned above, I purchased the Befine Lip Duo tonight through Birchbox. Along with it, I also ordered the Travel Size - Cool Fix and Blow Faux Dry Shampoo. I had been looking at the other two products throughout the last week and knew I wanted them for the upcoming winter months. The three products together totaled $60 but there was no way I was going to pay that. That's when I was looking around the Birchbox site and found my "points history" section. I saw that I had 300 points which means I could get $30 off any full size items! Score. That would cut my $60 total in half. Then I saw that there is free shipping on orders over $50 and if you use the code: "bandohappypack" you get this cute pack of headbands (and $0.01 off haha) with your order over $50.
The punchline: this girl scored 3 full size products and some cute headbands for only $29.99. And I recieved 29 Birchbox points for my order so I'm earning more points already! I love a great shopping deal. How about you?

I wish Birchbox shipped to Canada! It's so much better than the boxes we have here.
