My Life Lately {in Pictures}

I don't know about you guys, but I always enjoy spreading out my birthday festivities. My girlfriends and I went out to dinner to celebrate last Thursday. Then, over the weekend I went out to dinner with my family and did some shopping. And last night we wrapped up the birthday fun with a cupcake trip!

I promise you that all these birthday treats were just as delicious as they look!

1/ salad with pineapple, strawberries, apples, pecans, and kalamata olives
2/ red velvet and chocolate cupcakes that you get to build yourself!
3/ good ol' White Chocolate Mocha with extra whip from Starbucks
4/ changing things up this year with some chocolate cheesecake

This weekend I had the opportunity to do some shopping! Here's just a few of the pieces I picked up. I bought my first pair of Rock & Republic jeans (actually two pairs) and I'm so excited to wear them! I also picked up an adorable Fossil bracelet that I forgot to take a picture of so you can see that on their website here!

1/ Colorblock top via Forever 21
2/ Striped cardigan via Francesca's Collections (out of stock)
3/ Black boot socks via Forever 21
4/ Rock & Republic studded jeans
5/ Red striped sweater via Forever 21

I also had the chance to organize all my polishes this weekend. I mentioned last week that I bought a new container at Target. Eventually the entire top drawer will be filled with polishes and the cosmetic sponges and nail polish remover wipes along with other tools will be in the bottom drawer.

Birthday Manicure

Here are the manicure pictures I promised you in yesterday's post.

Today is Thursday. But today is also my birthday! I only have one class today and then it's time to relax and celebrate! Some girlfriends and I are doing a little bit of shopping this afternoon. Then we are going out for dinner and spending the night in with some ice cream and Grey's Anatomy. I am so excited!

So here are the nails and outfit I'm sporting today!

Current Obsession: Nail Polish & Zoya Promo

Lately, I have become absolutely OBSESSED with nail polish! I've owned some nail polish in the past but my so-called "collection" has been only about 10 polishes. In the past month, my collection has grown to be about 40 polishes! My collection has grown so much that last night I picked up a larger container while out and about at Target.

This Snapware container is awesome because they stack on top of each other, and each layer is tall enough to fit all your polishes! As of now, my polishes are in the top (not completely full) and my nail products such as remover wipes, cotton pads, nail clippers, hand lotions, etc are in the bottom.

So far this is working out great! The container is durable and the snaps open and close easily. And for $11.99, you can't beat it! Oh and in case you were wondering, they come in blue, black and green. I purchased the black one so that it would match my room no matter what!

And speaking of nail polish...my favorite new brand is definitely Zoya! I have received quite a few of their polishes by swapping with other ladies online at MakeupAlley. After testing them out, I fell in love. The formula goes on so smooth and lasts about 6 days before it starts to chip. They have such a wide selection of colors and their customer service is just wonderful! I made my first purchase during their *Valentine's Day promo* and picked up Kennedy (retails for $8) and got Moxie for free!

Kennedy -- is a gorgeous neutral color with a slight pink undertone.
I'm using it for my manicure tonight and will be sure to post pictures tomorrow!

Moxie -- is a gorgeous berry color that looks to be more red in the bottle than it actually is. The swatch below is much more accurate. I can't wait to use it as well!

//ZOYA PROMO: Now until Saturday!//

For all you Zoya lovers out there, you've probably heard about the promo that started today and goes until Saturday! But for those of you who are new to Zoya, I'll fill you in.

Purchase the MINI Color lock system (base coat, top coat, remover, and fast drying drops) for $20 and pick two of the polishes below for FREE! That's $16 worth of polish that you're getting for free, along with free shipping of course.

These four polishes were selected by Whitney Eve for New York Fashion Week! You can only pick from these colors, but can do any combo! One glitter and one solid, two glitters, or two solids!

Just select your two polishes from their page here and click the "Add to bag" button! Then also add the MINI Color lock system to your bag for $20. Then at checkout, enter the code: WHITNEY3 and you should see the prices of the two polishes adjust to $0 and free shipping included. Good luck!

If you have purchased Zoya lately, I'd love to hear about! I always love getting new polish recommendations!
